Bring Kontainer notifications directly into Slack and stay updated without monitoring multiple systems. The Slack integration lets you decide exactly which notifications you want to receive and whether they should be delivered as a personal direct message or to one or more Slack channels.

Please note: this feature must be enabled by the Kontainer Support Team in order to appear. Reach out to enable the Slack notification feature.

When enabled by the Kontainer Support Team, you can find the Slack option via Settings and connect your Slack workspaces from there.

How the Slack integration works

The integration is based on three simple principles:

• Choose which notifications you want to receive
• Choose where each notification should be delivered
• Stay informed directly in Slack

Once your Slack account is connected to Kontainer, you can customize your notification preferences to match how you and your team work.

Configure your Slack notifications

You can manage your Slack notifications from your personal notification settings.

For each notification type, you can choose one delivery method:

Personal messages

Receive notifications as a direct message from the Kontainer app in Slack.

This is useful for notifications that are only relevant to you, such as:

• Files shared with you
• Comments on your files
• Approval requests
• Other personal notifications

Slack channels

You can also send notifications to one or more Slack channels.

This allows the entire team to stay updated whenever important events happen in Kontainer.

Examples include:

• Download updates
• Files updated
• Folder activity
• Approval status changes
• Other shared workflows

Add multiple channels

A notification type is not limited to a single channel.
If several teams need the same information, simply add multiple Slack channels.

For example:

All selected channels will receive the same notification.

Tips for using Slack notifications

Here are some recommendations for getting the most out of the integration:

• Use direct messages for notifications that require personal action.
• Use team channels to keep everyone informed about shared assets and approvals.
• Avoid sending every notification to every channel—only subscribe channels to updates that are relevant to that team.
• Review your notification settings regularly as your workflows evolve.
