What is the WordPress integration?

Kontainer’s WordPress integration is based on the Kontainer File Picker plugin, which connects your WordPress site with Kontainer DAM and PIM.

The plugin allows you to:

  • Access your entire Kontainer library directly in WordPress
  • Search, filter, and browse files using metadata
  • Insert assets into content with just a few clicks
  • Work without leaving the WordPress admin

In addition, the integration provides insight into where your assets are being used. You can track usage of images and files both in Kontainer and in WordPress, making it easier to maintain overview and ensure correct usage of content.

Getting started

1. Install the plugin

Download and install the plugin:

  • Kontainer File Picker (from the WordPress plugin directory)

The plugin enables you to fetch assets directly into the WordPress media library.

2. Connect to Kontainer

Once the plugin is installed:

  • Open the plugin settings in WordPress
  • Log in with your Kontainer credentials
  • Connect to the desired library

You now have access to your assets directly in WordPress.

3. Using Kontainer in WordPress

Once the integration is active, you can:

  • Open the Kontainer File Picker from the editor
  • Search for assets using metadata or filenames
  • Preview assets before inserting
  • Insert assets directly into pages and posts

All assets are delivered directly from Kontainer, ensuring you always use the latest version, while usage is tracked so you maintain full visibility across platforms.
