With custom sorting, you can drag and drop each folder in place as you please.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-2.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"folderfilesortordermainview\">Folder &amp; File Sort Order, Main View<\/h2>\n<p>In the view and sorting settings, you can choose a default for how the files should be sorted.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name<\/li>\n<li>Size Created Date<\/li>\n<li>Upload date<\/li>\n<li>Custom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This depends on your personal preference and use case.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth mentioning that you can freely drag and drop your assets into place when selecting Custom Sorting.<\/p>\n<p>Moving entire folders around will also impact the order in which they are displayed in the folder menu on the left-hand side.<\/p>\n<p>Despite setting a standard sorting, you can always use a different sorting method for individual folders.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll find a drop-down menu in the top right corner displaying the different sorting methods, which you can apply individually for only the folder at hand.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-3.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 3\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"defaultfiledisplay\">Default File Display<\/h2>\n<p>Select a default view of files within a folder.<\/p>\n<p>Choose between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Box<\/li>\n<li>Grid<\/li>\n<li>List view.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <em>Box View<\/em> will display all files in equally big boxes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-4.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 4\" width=\"400\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Grid View<\/em> is more compact and displays files in the original dimensions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-5.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 5\" width=\"400\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <em>List View<\/em> shows files including some details very compactly below each other.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-6.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 6\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Be aware that the <em>hover function<\/em> that quickly displays the files\u2019 tagged data does not work for the List view. Read more about the hover function <a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/article\/add-edit-a-description\/#descriptiononhover\"><strong><u>here<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even though you have settled for a default view and sort folders, you can, of course, change these settings for individual folders afterward.<\/p>\n<p>In the top right corner of your folder view, you will find three icons indicating the three different viewing styles. Even though you have set a default, you can choose a view for a specific folder at hand.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-7.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 7\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"defaultfolderstyle\">Default folder style<\/h2>\n<p>To make your Kontainer appear even more as a part of your brand identity and corporate look, you can style your folder tiles in different ways.<\/p>\n<p>Go to <strong>Settings &gt; Appearance<\/strong> and change to the tab <strong>Folders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/default-view-and-sort-image-8.png\" alt=\"Default view and sort image 8\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here, you have many options to customize your default folder view.<\/p>\n<p>You can set a default for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Folder, text and icon colors<\/li>\n<li>Default folder image<\/li>\n<li>Folder color overlay<\/li>\n<li>Folder and text size<\/li>\n<li>Tile corner styles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can read more about folder styling <a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/de\/article\/kontainer-stylen\/#chapter11\"><u><strong>here<\/strong><\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, you can create default settings for new folders \u2013 which you, however, still can change individually for each folder tile afterward.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>That was a bit about the default settings of folder and file display and sorting.<\/p>\n<p>Let us know how you are getting on \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can personalize how files and folders are displayed in your Kontainer.
