Let\u2019s have a look:<\/p>\n<h2>Select a new folder<\/h2>\n<p>Quickly move files around in your Kontainer by right-clicking on a single file or on a selection of files and choosing <strong>Move<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/move-files-in-kontainer-image-1.png\" alt=\"Move files image 1\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then select the new desired folder placement and confirm by clicking <strong>Move<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/move-files-in-kontainer-image-2.png\" alt=\"Move files image 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Drag &amp; Drop<\/h2>\n<p>Alternatively, you can drag and drop files from the folder view on the right-hand side and into a new folder in the folder structure on the left-hand side.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/move-files-in-kontainer-image-4.png\" alt=\"Move files image 4\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Album Folders<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to keep an original file in the current folder but also want the file to be placed in another new folder, you do not need to make a copy of the file or upload the file again.<\/p>\n<p>Just create a new Album Folder and move the file into this new album folder.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/move-files-in-kontainer-image-3.png\" alt=\"Move files image 3\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In that way, you create a redirect or alias of the original file in the new folder while keeping it in the current folder.<\/p>\n<p>Read more about album folders <a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.kontainer.com\/article\/create-albums\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are different ways to place an existing file in another folder of your Kontainer.
