This guide explains how to connect Shopify with Kontainer PIM & DAM using the Kontainer Shopify integration.
The integration allows you to manage your product data, images, and other digital assets in Kontainer, and synchronize them directly to your Shopify store. This ensures consistent product information across your webshop while reducing manual work.
Go to the Kontainer integration page to find out more about the use cases, benefits, etc.
You can download the official Kontainer app from the Shopify App Store here.

- Selecting which products should be synchronized
- Configuring image synchronization

Your configuration may vary depending on how your product data is structured in Kontainer.
Product Data Synchronization
The integration allows product data managed in Kontainer to be synchronized with Shopify.
Examples of synchronized data include:
- Product titles
- Descriptions
- Product variants
- SKUs
- Pricing
- Categories
- Product images
When product data is updated in Kontainer, the changes can be pushed to Shopify so that your webshop always displays up-to-date information.

Images and other media files stored in Kontainer can be automatically synchronized to Shopify products.
Typical workflow:
- Upload images to Kontainer
- Attach the images to a product
- Publish or synchronize the product
- The images will appear on the corresponding product in Shopify
This allows you to manage all product media centrally in Kontainer.
Multi-language Product Content
If you manage products in multiple languages in Kontainer, the integration can synchronize the translated product content to Shopify.
Examples include:
- Product names
- Descriptions
- Product attributes
- SEO metadata
This allows you to manage product information for multiple markets from a single platform.
Updating Products
Once the integration is configured, updating products becomes simple.
