# File data export templates

 Set up File data export templates to automatically create Excel exports with file data and pre-defined file download links. Use these templates to meet different marketplaces’ requirements and formatting guidelines, ensuring seamless integration and efficient product listing.

Templates are configured with tagged data and metadata. You can create as many as you want, control user access, and reconfigure at any time.

## Template set-up

### Step 1

#### Create new template

In the Admin panel, select **Resources** and **File data export templates**, and click the **Create new** button in the top right corner.

### Step 2

#### Configure template

When configuring the template, you’ll need to enter:

- **Template name**

And, then you can select different types of data and image URLs (pre-defined download links):

- **File meta data**
- **DAM fields** (data categories)
- **Download options** ( inserted into the export as URLs)

If you need a new file download template for your export, you can set this up under **Download options** and add.

### Step 3

#### Test template

Once your template is set up and saved, you can return to your asset library, refresh the page and test your new template.

## Permission management

To manage access to the templates, go to the **Access** tab in the Admin panel, select a user, and then **Download options** tab in the user menu. Here, you’ll find the option to manage access to the **File data export templates**.
